We, as Americans, have witnessed the videos — the deaths of two American citizens, Renee Good and Alex Pretti, in two weeks.
There are some patterns emerging as federal border patrol agents and ICE move into a new phase of the senseless killing of protesters in Minnesota.
After their deaths, we heard the regime’s spokespeople lie outright about what had happened, immediately accusing the victims of being terrorists.
Our eyes and ears tell us, though, Renee Good spoke kindly to the federal agent and Alex Pretti was trying to help a protester who had been knocked to the ground by an agent.
Secondly, Kristi Noem quickly moved in both killings to prevent local law enforcement from investigating the murder of two citizens and to claim that Border Control and ICE agents were acting in self defense despite clear video evidence to the contrary.
This continues their pattern of lies about their immigration enforcement. Only 5% of immigrants who have been deported have been violent criminals.
Instead, what Americans see is racial profiling of immigrants in places of business, on their way to medical appointments or leaving schools.
We see the arrest of people with no due process, disappearance and detention of those who pose no threat.
This administration’s actions on the streets of our cities are not about community safety or removing criminals. The violent and illegal actions of ICE are about targeting immigrant communities using aggressive assault tactics designed to create chaos and inflict terror on whole communities.
In just the past year, 16 people have been shot by ICE and six are dead.
And if you still believe that the administration has good intentions, why are they refusing to conduct a joint investigation with state andlocal law enforcement?
Federal, state and local law enforcement always cooperate in officer-involved shootings, a necessary approach that helps to assure us, American citizens, that justice is done.
American communities deserve protection not lawlessness. There must be open investigations and full accountability in the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti.
We must also call on the administration to end their reckless federal operations immediately.
I urge you to contact your representatives and tell them to vote NO on the current DHS Department of Homeland Security (CHS) funding appropriations bill.
Tell them that American taxpayers do not support giving the Department of Homeland Security a blank check for cruelty and murder.
