Robert Stillions, age 89, of Mount Vernon passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born on February 1, 1936, in Hannibal, Missouri to the late Robert and Nina Stillions. Robert was employed and retired from the Newark Air Force Base where he was an Engineer for over 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking and the outdoors. But most of all, Robert loved the time he spent with his loving family. Robert was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force from 1955-1963.
He is survived by his daughter Bobbi Mickley; his sons, Brad Stillions, Michael Stillions; and six grandchildren, Kalie (Austin) Shellenbarg, Logan Stillions, Rachel Mickley, Lauren Mickley, Erin Mickley, and Darren Mickley.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife Zona Stillions; his sisters Lucille and Betty; and his son-in-law Louie Mickley.
Friends may call on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the Snyder Funeral Home – Flowers Chapel from 4-6pm. A graveside service, with military honors, will take place in Newark Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Friday beginning at 11am with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.
