Jean Weiss, age 97, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the Country Club Retirement Campus.
She was born on April 30, 1928, in Howard, Ohio to the late John and Blanche Estabrook. She was employed at the United Telephone Company for over 25 years, from which she retired. Jean was a member of the Grove Church in Gambier. She enjoyed bowling but most of all she loved the time she spent with her family.
Jean is survived by her son Bill Weiss.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband James Weiss Sr; her sister Ruth Ann Homes; and her brother Jack Estabrook.
In keeping with Jean’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private service at a later date.
