KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Mount Vernon High School graduate Kennedy Auker is one of 41 students selected for the Agriculture Future of America (AFA) Ambassador Program.

The program equips ambitious students to shape the future of the agriculture industry. This year, 41 student leaders representing campuses nationwide were selected to serve as a bridge between AFA and the next generation of agricultural professionals.

“Agriculture isn’t just what I do, it’s who I am. I’m most looking forward to connecting with fellow students and industry leaders, sharing my experiences, and inspiring others to embrace their passion for agriculture,” said Auker. “This experience will allow me to grow as a leader, make a meaningful impact on campus, and honor the legacy of my family’s farm.”

Auker is an agriculture communications major at The Ohio State ATI.

As ambassadors, students work with AFA to set goals and receive personalized coaching to develop creative outreach strategies to achieve them. Designed for student leaders who believe in the power of connection, the AFA Ambassador Program empowers real-world leadership, marketing mindsets, and industry engagement.
