From 1986, Lila and her husband sold at flea markets and on eBay up until the time of his death in 2000.

Lila enjoyed simple pleasures such as puzzle books, jigsaw puzzles, Sudoku, reading, and loved to play Scrabble and Boggle with family. She and her husband enjoyed watching Gaither gospel music videos together. Family was everything to her, so she loved when her family came home to visit.
