MOUNT VERNON — Once again, the Knox County community has demonstrated its generous spirit.
The final total for the Food For The Hungry 2025 Drive is $394,301.89 and 23.5 truckloads of food. That far exceeds the $340,000 goal.
“Words cannot really express the gratitude that the board of Food For The Hungry feels today as we announce this marvelous 2025 total. As the world around us constantly seems to change, it is heartwarming to know that the citizens of Knox County continue to care for their friends and neighbors,” FFTH President Austin Swallow said.
“Times are tough, but Knox Countians share what they have. Our partners at Interchurch Social Services, The Salvation Army of Mount Vernon, the multiple food pantries, hot meal programs, and other food assistance programs throughout the county express their gratitude for your support as well.”
