Shirley Berline Smith, 88 of Mount Vernon Ohio passed away on January 10, 2026 of a massive stroke at Country Court Skilled Nursing in Mount Vernon, Ohio. She was born on April 29,1937 by her proud parents Georgia and Robert Stiltner in Grundy Virginia. Shirley graduated from high school when she was 52 years old and was an ordained minister. Her passions were her family and belief in God.
She was a skilled embroider and crochet artist and supported and
helped the local food bank through her church.Shirley was founder of “Shirley’s Revival” on Facebook and creator of various sermons for the Pentecostal Church practitioners.
Her large Stiltner family of 16 brothers and sisters were very closely knit and preceded by all except Delorse.

Shirley married James Smith on February 18,1953 and had 4 children Robert, Dennis, and James Junior all deceased and Debra Ann. She has 5 grandchildren; Benjamin, Christian V, Erica, Melody and Ryan and 6 Great Grand Children; Nadia, Maycee, Lilith, Eoin, Alex and Evelyn.
