Diana D. Henthorn, age 83, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior and her late husband Lloyd Henthorn, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Mount Vernon Health and Rehabilitation, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 9, 1942, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the daughter of Archie and Carrie Mae (Edwards) Llewellyn. Diana was a 1960 graduate of Mount Vernon High School.
Diana began her career as a waitress in Mount Vernon before becoming a devoted homemaker. She provided babysitting services to many families throughout the years. Her cake-baking and decorating skills were superior, creating hundreds of beautiful cakes for friends and family’s special occasions. She was previously active at Pine Street Church of God, organizing the church bus and singing in the choir, and most recently attended New Life Nazarene Church.

Diana enjoyed going to garage sales and had built an extensive collection of bells and angels. Diana was fortunate to be able to enjoy 25 years of retirement with her husband spending time at the local Station Break meals and events. Diana cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She especially treasured family vacations and looked forward to shopping on Black Friday with her family. Her love, faith, and devotion to family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Diana is survived by her son, Lee (Cathy) Henthorn, two daughters, Debora (Dale) Creager and Sonia Alexander, five grandchildren, Lindsey (Justin) Stillion, Erica Vinson, Kyle (Tosha) Henthorn, Trent (Destiny) Creager, and Katelyn (Matthew) O’Hara, six great grandchildren, Adelyn, Aaliyah, Maverick, Keegan, Bonnie, and Scarlett. She is also survived by a sister, Delores “Peach” (Tom) Hulse.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband C. Lloyd Henthorn (2025), three brothers, Edward Llewellyn, Floyd Llewellyn, Terry Davis, three sisters, Betty Shannon, Sharon Hoeflick, and Teresa Miracle.

Friends may call on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 5 to 7 pm, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday beginning at 10 am. Pastor Troy McNicholls will be officiating, and burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
