Ronda R. Hathaway, 75, of Fredericktown died on Friday afternoon, January 2, 2026 at the Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon surrounded by her family. She was born on April 13, 1950 in Know County to the late Leland and Lorilla (Shinaberry) Hathaway.
Ronda was a graduate of Fredericktown High School, the Ohio State University and the Mount Carmel School of Nursing. She devoted her life to giving and caring for others. Her devout Christian faith brought joy, strength, and comfort. Ronda cherished the time and the memories made with family and friends.
Ronda was preceded in death by her beloved parents; brother, Darel Hathaway; and dear friend, Kay Locke.
Ronda is survived by her sister, Connie (Alvin) Aren; sister-in-law, Lela; close friend, Dr. Ben Locke; nephews and niece, Dan (Debra), Kim (Melissa), Gary (Karla) and Cheryl (Mitchell; great nephews and nieces, Ryan (Courtney), Tyler (Amanda), Sydney (Jake), Dustin (Tara), Austin (Amanda), Adelyn, Nathan, Camryn and Lauren; and great great nieces and nephews, Georgia, Hayes, Jaxson, Tate, Kate, and Archie.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Dowds Chapel 201 Newark Rd., Mount Vernon with Dr. Ben Locke officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery.
