Dennis J. Lotz, age 72, of Fredericktown passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born on October 2, 1953, in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Charles and Dortha (Hamilton) Lotz Sr. He married his childhood sweetheart, Susan E. Randall on December 31, 1970, beginning a love story that lasted a lifetime. Together they created a beautiful life of over 55 years together. He was a God-fearing man of faith who loved his family dearly. He will be remembered for his kind, funny and caring nature. Dennis was everyone’s best friend and certainly didn’t know a stranger.
He is survived by his wife Susan (Randall) Lotz; his daughters Tina Lotz, Denise (Roger) Murphy; his son Kenny (Jayna Ray) Lotz; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and his brother Leslie Lotz.
In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his grandson Addison Hamilton; and his brother C. Leo Lotz.
Friends may call on Monday, December 29, 2025, at the Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel (11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050) from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. A graveside service will take place in Quaker Cemetery in Fredericktown on Tuesday beginning at 11am with Mr. Walt Farlee officiating.
Dennis will be carried to his final resting place by Kenneth Lotz, Lance LaCoy, Andrew Pylant, Frank Blanton, Roger Murphy and Michael Dumbaugh.
