John Stilley Ewalt Jr, age 71, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Oak Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center in Baltic, Ohio. He was born on August 19, 1954, in Crestline, Ohio, to the late John and Barbara (Pryor) Ewalt Sr.
John was an avid golfer and made many friends at Apple Valley Golf course in the Monday night league. He enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes play football and basketball as well as spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his son, Jason (Yolanda) Ewalt; and granddaughter, Briana Ewalt.
John is preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl (Paisley) Ewalt, his parents John (Shirley) Ewalt Sr. and Barbara (Jack) McNeil.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
