MOUNT VERNON — The Council of the City of Mount Vernon will hold a public hearing pursuant to an Ordinance of the Council duly adopted Nov. 19, 2025 (the “Ordinance of Sufficiency”).
The hearing will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 22 in the Council Chambers, Mount Vernon City Hall, 40 Public Square in Mount Vernon.
The topic will be on the petition to add territory to the Mount Vernon New Community Authority, a new community district established pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Chapter 349.
The Ordinance of Sufficiency and the Petition are each on file in Mount Vernon City Hall, Suite 2016, 40 Public Square, Mount Vernon. They are available for inspection by interested persons during regular business hours.
