Cadets stand in preparation to graduate

MOUNT VERNON — Several cadets of the Knox County Airport Cadet Flight, Civil Air Patrol, received promotions during a ceremony held Monday, Nov. 3rd at the Knox County Airport.

Special guests for the event included Col. David Dlugiewicz, Civil Air Patrol, Ohio Wing Commander, and State Representative Beth Lear (District 61), herself a Civil Air Patrol Legislative Member.

Promoted to Cadet Airman upon completion of the General John F. Curry Achievement were Trace Armstrong, Asher Bressi, Chaiah Bressi, Griffin Davies, Mayson Garrett-
Fike, Brianna Myers, Benjamin Steele, Lukas Yarman and Seth Yarman.

Promoted to Cadet Airman First Class upon completion of the General Hap Arnold Achievement was Carson Sanchez.

In addition to these promotions, Cadet Chief Master Sergeant Nathaniel Hoskins was recognized for completing the Neil Armstrong Achievement.

The Knox County Airport Cadet Flight meets every Monday evening at 6 p.m. at the Knox County Airport terminal.

The Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program is open to youth ages 12 to 18. The program focuses on Leadership, Aerospace Education, Physical Fitness and Character Development.
