Frances C. “Frankie” Parker, age 97, of Gambier, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025.

She was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio on December 24, 1927, to the late Carey B. and Maude E. (Hershey) White.

Frankie was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Mount Vernon.  She graduated from Mount Vernon High School, Class of 1945, and was briefly employed as a switchboard operator by Shellmar Company before her marriage to Charles E. Parker.

Frankie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.  She always had an upbeat and positive attitude, along with a great sense of humor.  She enjoyed spending time in her yard and being with her family, especially on their 4th of July celebrations.  Frankie was blessed to live in her Gambier home for 75 years.

Frankie is survived by her children, Susan Parker of Columbus, Tom (Pam) Parker of Columbus and Beth (Mark) MarLett of Canton; grandchildren, Eric (Alyssa) Kramer, Adam Kramer, Seth Parker, Sara Parker (Andy Duncan), Matt (Samantha) MarLett, Andrea (Ricky) Smith; 13 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles E. Parker; a son, Charles N. Parker; sisters, Ethel Carter, Martha Tennant, and Alice Terry; brothers, Edward, Carrol and Robert White.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00 – 12:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd. in Mount Vernon. Where funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Gambier.
