Katherine Mae (Corrigan) Lore, age 68, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 23, 1957, in El Paso, Texas, to Willard and Marilyn (Keeler) Corrigan.
Kathi was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and attended Bowling Green State University. She was proud of being an Air Force brat as a kid and traveling all over with her parents. Kathi and her husband, Stephen, owned and operated the Pirates Cove in Gambier and Mount Vernon with other family members.
Kathi loved taking photographs, especially of nature and would drive around for hours waiting on the perfect picture to take. She enjoyed visiting Amish Country, boating at Pleasant Hill, and Mohican State Park. Kathi even won a couple of photography awards at the Tomato Show and Brown Center in Gambier.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Lore; daughters, Samantha Sheriff, and Makenzie (Matthew) Hussey; grandchildren, Jalen, Caleb, Kaine Sheriff, Maryn and Mason Hussey; her mother, Marilyn Corrigan-Kousoulas; brothers, Mike (Kathy) Corrigan, Tom (Tina) Corrigan; a sister, Kelly Corrigan; several nieces and nephews.
Kathi is preceded in death by her father and her mother-in-law, Betty Lore-Grant.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM with an hour of calling starting at 12:00 PM, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home: 619 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050 with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.
