Sandra Kay Welty, age 77, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Ohio, after a lengthy illness.
She was born on January 26, 1948, in Pleasant Hill, Illinois, to the late Leo and June (Williamson) Martin.
Sandra married Timothy Welty in 1994. Her Christian faith was steadfast, and she always put the needs of her family before her own. She was known for laughing a lot, had the ability to find humor in life, and always enjoyed listening to good music with a strong beat.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Welty, a son Michael (Amy) Frazee; daughters Michelle (Robert) DeTar, Diane (LaShon McNeil) Frazee; grandchildren Rachel, Jayme, Will (Sydney Oberhill) Frazee, Alisha, Lisa McMillan, Anthony Frazee, Kaylyn (Kyle) Hart; 5 great grandchildren; a brother Steven (Leda) Martin.
Besides her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her son, Derek Frazee and a grandson, David Frazee.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Sandra Kay Welty.
