After a life full of love and service, Anne Storan passed away in Hernando, Florida on August 13, 2025, surrounded by family and loved ones. Anne was 78 years old, and her death was caused by a rare and complex autoimmune reaction to an infection.

Anne, daughter of Richard (Dick) Reinicke and Sarah (Sally) Reinicke, née Horrigan, was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 9, 1948. She graduated from Colonel White High School in 1965 and Purdue University in 1969. She obtained her juris doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 1988.

In her lifetime, Anne resided in upstate New York, Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and Hernando, Florida, befriending and helping members of her community wherever she planted roots. A vivacious and intelligent woman with countless skills, she was a special education teacher, an attorney practicing family law, the executive director of Knox County Hospice, and the owner of an independent bookstore. Anne also volunteered for many organizations including Mental Health and Recovery, Girl Scouts, WELCA, and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Anne was preceded in death by her husbands Robert (Bob) Storan (d.1988) and Hans Kott (d. 2020). She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Sally Reinicke; her two children, Jeff and Carey Storan; her five step-children, Bill and Sara Mankins, Joe and Nathan Kott, and Hannah Magrum; and her 12 beloved grandchildren: Sofie, Benjamin, Avery, Luca, Alistair, Thierry, Cameron, Odin, Corbin, Adeline, Esha, and Abra.
