On Saturday, Sept. 6, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the community is invited to attend a craft supply sales event at the Learning and Training Center in the Habitat for Humanity of Knox County, Ohio (HFHKCO) headquarters, 405 W. Chestnut Street.

MOUNT VERNON — Knox Co OH Indivisible and Dancing Bee Market & Studio are hosting a Craft Supply Drive and Community Giveaway to benefit Lil’ Pantry, a vital food resource serving Mount Vernon neighbors.

This two-part event invites crafters of all kinds to donate extra supplies throughout August, then “shop” the donations during a special community event in early September.

Donation Drive at Dancing Bee Market & Studio

From now through Friday, Aug. 22, people can drop off craft supply donations at Dancing Bee Market & Studio, 3 N. Main Street.

The shop is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Suggested donation items include:

● Fabric, yarn, and thread
● Sewing, knitting, crochet, and cross-stitch patterns

● Craft tools (embroidery hoops, knitting needles, reupholstery tools, leather tools)
● Small paints and gently used brushes
● Sandpaper or refinishing items
● Other small, usable craft materials

As a thank-you, donors will receive a $5 voucher to spend on Dancing Bee products, either in-store or online.

Craft Supply Sales Fundraiser at Habitat for Humanity Learning & Training Center

Then on Saturday, Sept. 6, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the community is invited to attend a craft supply sales event at the Learning and Training Center in the Habitat for Humanity of Knox County, Ohio (HFHKCO) headquarters, 405 W. Chestnut Street.

A cash or check donation of any amount at the door grants entry to “shop” the donated supplies and fill two bags with materials to spark new creative projects.

Bags will be provided.

All proceeds will go to the Lil’ Pantry, a standalone, 24-hour food pantry slated to re-open in September after a three-year hiatus.

The event series is organized by Knox Co. OH Indivisible, in partnership with Dancing Bee Market & Studio, and with space generously provided by HFHKCO.

“Our goal is to build community while supporting both local crafters and neighbors experiencing hardship,” said Pamela Faust, volunteer event organizer.

“It’s a chance to clean out your craft drawer, support a great cause, and connect through creativity.”
