Linda Ann Carpenter, age 77, of Mount Vernon passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Kobacker House Hospice in Columbus.
She was born on January 13, 1948, in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Hugh and Violet (Chester) Brown. Linda enjoyed cooking, crafting, gardening and yard work. She also enjoyed cooking shows and soap operas. Linda was known for being selfless and big-hearted. She always put others before herself. But most of all, Linda loved the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her granddaughter Isabella “Izzy” Carpenter; her great-granddaughter Sawyer Vollmer; her good friend Rhonda Greco; and her former husband Don Carpenter.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter Amy Lynn Carpenter.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in Friendship Cemetery beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.
