Robert E. Cunningham, age 73, of Fredericktown passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born on October 6, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio. Robert served as a Columbus City Police Officer for numerous years before he was badly injured by a vehicle while on duty. Robert was very active with the Red Cross and would regularly volunteer to go to disaster areas to help. Robert enjoyed building model trains.
He is survived by his good friend Cathy Swank and his caregiver Carrie Bostwick.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife Norita Cunningham.
In keeping with Robert’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A private graveside gathering will take place in Forest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Red Cross.
