Lloyd Joseph Ray, age 63, of Howard, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025. He was born on July 20, 1961, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Victor and Rita (Baltzer) Ray Sr. Lloyd previously worked for TRW in Mount Vernon and was a member of the Bell Church of Christ.

Lloyd enjoyed nature and liked to hunt and fish and was a historian primarily focusing on the “wild west” and Native American history. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and The Ohio State University Buckeyes. Lloyd also liked the solace of working in his flower and vegetable gardens.

He is survived by his sons, Jesse Ray and Jerrad Ray, his grandchildren, Carter Ray, Colson Ray, Cooper Ray, and Olive Marie Ray, two brothers, Victor (Rita) Ray Jr. of Johnstown, and Mark Ray of Mount Vernon, and a sister, Pamela (Robert) Cline of Gambier.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will observe a private service with a burial in Bell Church Cemetery. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is handling services for the Lloyd Joseph Ray family.
