MOUNT VERNON — Banners honoring 14 Knox County men killed in Vietnam are on display at the Knox County Historical Society on Harcourt Road through June 9.

Clinton Township resident Tom Wise created the “Tribute to the Fallen” display in 2023.

After he researched the men’s histories, Wise, himself a Vietnam veteran, expanded the project to include a booklet containing love messages from the community to the men’s families.

Mount Vernon displayed the banners for Veterans Day in 2023 and Memorial Day in 2024.
