Mary Mack, age 94, of Fredericktown passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Laurels of Mount Vernon.
She was born on March 12, 1931, in Marysville, Ohio to the late George and Sarah (Rowlands) Jewell. She was a 1949 graduate of Marysville High School. Mary and her late husband Laird were farmers for over 54 years. She retired in 1996. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Mary was a member of the North Liberty Garden Club and the Three Crosses United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son Michael (Laura) Mack; her daughters, Linda (Mike) Somerville, Terri (Dennis) Benson; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; her sisters, Wilma Miller, Ina Rinehart, and Peggy Hohman; and her sister-in-law Virginia Jewell.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Laird Mack; her daughter Susan Johnson; her brothers John Jewell, George Jewell; her sister Nina Nicol; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Three Crosses United Methodist Church (12 Cleveland St, Butler, Ohio 44822) beginning at 11am. A lunch will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Three Crosses United Methodist Church, Mortgage Fund.
