Larry R. Beekman Jr, age 54, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, with his loving family at his side.
He was born on September 22, 1970, in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Larry and Linda (Long) Beekman Sr. Larry was a 1989 graduate of Fredericktown High School where he received the State F.F.A Degree and received his associate degree from the North Central Technical College. He was a former volunteer at the Fredericktown EMS. Larry most recently served as a Sergeant of the Auxiliary Officers in the Mount Gilead Police Department. He enjoyed fishing and boating and would regularly participate in Bass Fishing Tournaments.
He is survived by his sons, Chase (Genevieve) Beekman, Calum (Taylor) Beekman; his parents Larry and Linda Beekman Sr; four grandchildren, Jack, Lettie, Adalyn and Violet Beekman; his sister Lisa (Rick) Bragg; his niece Katie (Brodhi) Steel; his nephews Curtis (Carolyn Moore) Ruhl, Zach (Alexis) Bragg; two great nieces and two great nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown beginning at 11am with Pastor Aaron Rose officiating.
