Bradley Jay Allen, 62, died on March 4. He trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior early and followed Him throughout life. He is now with his Lord.
Brad was born Nov. 18, 1962, in Mount Vernon and graduated from Centerburg High School in 1981 as salutatorian. He earned a degree in accounting from The Ohio State University in 1985 and worked as a Certified Public Accountant and a controller in the corporate world.
He is survived by five siblings—Denny (Karen) Allen, Jody (Joe) Adams, Glenn (Joanna) Allen, Brenda (Gary) Mahon and Mary (Conrad) Doak—four nieces, eight nephews, 10 great-nieces and seven great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Dorothy Allen, his sister Diana
Trammell and three nephews.
Brad was active in the Delaware County community, serving as vice president and a member of the finance committee of the Delaware County District Library Board. He was also a member of the Delaware County Republican Party Central Committee. He was active in his Homeowners’ Association, enjoyed biking with family and friends, and had a great sense of humor. He was a long-time attendee of Fellowship Bible Chapel in Condit. He was involved with the College and Career Fellowship at Grace Brethren Church of Columbus in Worthington during his college years, where he made many lifelong friends.
A private graveside service for family only will be held Monday morning, March 10. Visiting hours will be that evening at 6 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m.; both are at Fellowship Bible Chapel, 2949 County Road 605, Sunbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Fellowship Bible Chapel.
