Carolyn Mae Farie, age 84, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at her residence. She was born on October 29, 1940, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Charles and Gladys (Hulse) Farie.
Carolyn earned a master’s degree and worked as a librarian. She volunteered her time at Knox County Agricultural Museum, where she enjoyed weaving in the loom room.
Carolyn is survived by her siblings; Marjorie Rutherford, Mary Ellen Newton, Barbara Mattingly; many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Carolyn in preceded in death by her brothers, John and Ron Farie; nephews, Tim Rutherford and Danny Newton.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 11am – 1 pm with a funeral service starting at 1:00 PM at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral; 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio, with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.
