Beckie Lou Moore, age 70, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Whispering Hills Care Center in Mount Vernon. She was born on September 1, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of William and Loretta (Sharp) Moore.
Beckie was a 1972 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School and retired from Reynoldsburg City Schools. She was a member of Central Christian Church and enjoyed playing cards. She especially liked playing UNO and Skip Bo, but most important, she loved spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her children, Mary (Jeremy) Wheeler, Lucinda Grubbs, and David Grubbs all of Mount Vernon, eight grandchildren, Desiree Wheeler, Jeremy Wheeler II, Merissa Wheeler, Teresa Wheeler, Jaden Wheeler, Piper Wheeler, Wyatt Myers, and Scarlitt Grubbs, six great-grandchildren, a brother, William Moore of Groveport, four sisters, Barbara Woolridge of Pickerington, Wilda Kuhn of Heath, Conne Capehart of Stark, Florida, Vickie Cosner of Reynoldsburg and her significant other, Allen Holmes.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Moore and a sister, Loretta Moen.
The family will observe private services at a later date. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Beckie Lou Moore.
