Dennis L. Grubaugh, age 72, of Mount Vernon, passed away on February 8, 2025, at The James Cancer Hospital in Columbus after a long courageous battle.
He was born on October 25, 1952, to James and Mary (Purdy) Grubaugh.
To say Denny was a character was an understatement. Anyone who knew Denny knows he loved to argue and had an opinion on just about everything.
He also had a stubborn streak a mile wide. He was an avid sports fan, cheering for the Guardians, The Browns and especially THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES. Denny was also a proud United States Air Force Veteran.
Denny was fiercely loyal to his family and friends, son James, brothers, Mike (Brenda), Doug (Soni Miracle), David (Margie), and his special people, Ian and Jennifer Grubaugh and Cheryl Gamble, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and longtime companion, Jody Pillow.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel. Where funeral services will be held on Thursday – 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens with military graveside honors conducted by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.
