Claudia A. Berger, age 97, of Mount Vernon passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the Inn at Bear Trail in Lewis Center, Ohio.
She was born November 1, 1927, in Mount Vernon, to the late John and Genevieve (Burgess) McNeil. Claudia was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and retired from Cooper Energy Services in 1988.
She is survived by her daughter Jane (Don) Chafin; her son Stephen Joris; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her brother Charles McNeil.
In addition to her parents, Claudia was preceded in death by her first husband Rene Joris Jr. in 1969; her second husband Francis Berger Jr. in 1989; her brother Jack McNeil; and her sister Jo Ann Adams.
At her request, there will be no calling hours. The family will gather at a later date for a celebration of life.
