About the event:

Under the direction of Professor of Music Benjamin Locke, the Winter Concert features the winners of the annual Young Musicians Competition. This year the winner in the High School Division is Lorelai Howenstine, trombone. Natasha, a senior at Mount Vernon High School, will perform “Czardas” by Vittorio Monti. Emma, a senior at Fredericktown High School, will perform “Fantasie brillante sur Carmen” by François Borne.

The winners in the Collegiate Division are Lilia Montes, violin, Elijah Lisboa, viola, and Sara Marhefka, soprano

The Young Musicians Competition is co-sponsored by the Psi Iota Xi Sorority, who will also provide the reception following the concert.
