MOUNT VERNON — The news that the Knox County Chamber of Commerce bought the building at 11 S. Mulberry St. generated questions about Kahrl & Company’s status.
There’s no need to worry. The 117-year-old company isn’t leaving town or closing. It’s simply moving to Coshocton Ave.
“We are growing and looking for more office space,” company President Corey Harrmann said.

“We first thought about renovating our current space [at 11 S. Mulberry St.], but then found the opportunity to purchase the building at 1375 Coshocton Ave.”
Harrmann said the chamber then showed an interest in the South Mulberry Street building.
“We currently are out of office space. We hired a few more people and are looking to hire another agent as well as we transition to the new space,” Harrmann said.
1375 Coshocton Ave. is home to Real Estate Showcase and Heartland Promotional Products.
Kahrl & Company will renovate the suite on the right side of the building. Real Estate Showcase and Heartland will still operate out of the left side.
Fairway Mortgage currently occupies the left side of the building at 11 S. Mulberry and will move with Kahrl & Company to Coshocton Avenue.
Harrmann said renovations to the 1375 suite will be minor.
“We’ll be sprucing up and painting but no major renovations,” he said.
“The parking is more favorable there for our clients, too,” Harmann added.
Harrmann expects to make the move in April.
