FREDERICKTOWN — Buckeye Stoves just got a bit bigger.
The stove shop, found just off Ohio 95 in Fredericktown, has expanded with a nearly 5,000 square-foot storage warehouse.
Buckeye Stoves staff and owner Lorraine Boss celebrated the new space Nov. 13 with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Knox County Chamber of Commerce.
Construction began in June, Boss said, executed by H&H Custom Homes & Construction from Loudonville.
“The whole reason (for the expansion) was for space,” Boss said. “We’re doing it for the future.”
The warehouse space is connected eastward with Buckeye Stoves storefront, bringing easy access to the two buildings.
Boss said the warehouse provides extra needed space, allowing Buckeye Stoves to operate more efficiently. It’s also about having additional room ready for Boss’ son Cole, who’s been with the family-owned business for six years.
The company’s stoves are heating the warehouse space, Boss said, with garage doors providing easy accessibility for customers to bring their vehicles into the storage barn.
