MOUNT VERNON — Applications for senior levy funding are now available.

The updated 2025 application is being sent out earlier than previous years. Completed applications are due Friday, Jan. 31, 2025.

Any nonprofit entity that serves seniors can apply for an award. A Senior Levy Advisory Committee reviews the requests and makes recommendations to the commissioners.

The committee is offering technical advisory sessions in the large conference room of the Knox County Board of Commissioners, 117 E. High St.

These sessions are not mandatory, but all applicants are strongly encouraged to attend.

Two sessions will be offered (only need to attend one session):

•Friday, Dec. 13, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.

•Friday, Dec. 13, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Please email Penny Doyle, clerk/executive assistant to the Board of Commissioners, which session you want to attend.
