Nancy L. Patterson, age 74, of Howard, Ohio, met her sunset on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Sunrise for Nancy was on May 19, 1950, in Wheeling, West Virginia, where she was born the daughter of William and Anna (Wurschum) Schnoeblen. Nancy was a 1968 graduate of the Mount Vernon Academy.
Nancy worked for over thirty years, employed at various places, but you might have run into her at Kroger’s, Concepts in Community Living or Kresge’s. She volunteered numerous years as a foster grandparent via the Mount Vernon Developmental Center and used those skills to continue her career as a senior companion.
She is survived by her daughters, Alissa (Josh) Elliott of Howard, Ohio, and Amy (John) Meeker of Mount Vernon, three grandchildren, Alivia Elliott, Blake Elliott, and Aubrey Meeker, a brother, James Schnoeblen,a niece, Heather (Jonathan) Knoch and her feline companion Barley.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will observe a private graveside service. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Nancy L. Patterson.
