Vote for character and leadership.
As we prepare to vote for multiple candidates in November, most of us want to know what candidates will do when elected, and is the candidate honest and ethical. Do they care about and understand everyday people like me?
In the race for the U.S. Senate race, the choice couldn’t be more clear.
According to court records, Bernie Moreno has been sued dozens of times in 3 different states for wage theft. In one case, he destroyed employment records and was fined $400,000. He clearly wasn’t trustworthy as a businessman, so why would we trust him as a Senator?
Maybe, since Moreno can’t defend his own integrity, this explains why he has stooped to the desperate tactic of hateful attack ads, designed only to sow fear and create confusion.
We can see through this strategy, though. And fact checking confirms that all those accusations about crime and immigration are false. So much for integrity.
In contrast, we can look at Sherrod Brown’s history as a lawmaker to know his character is and what he’ll do when re-elected.
Most recently Brown led the fight to restrict fentanyl from coming into the U.S., an important step in fighting the ongoing opioid epidemic that has destroyed so many lives and so many families. Brown also sponsored the bill providing health care to veterans who were exposed to burn pits.
The list goes on.
In looking at bills that Brown supports, his focus is on improving the lives of everyday people – bringing down costs of prescriptions and health care; ensuring that products are made in the U.S.; protecting American jobs; addressing the housing crisis; supporting fair wages and an even playing field; supporting women’s freedom to control decisions about their own bodies; bringing internet to rural Ohioans; supporting childcare for working families.
Sherrod Brown knows how to do the hard work of being an honest public servant. You can make sure that Ohio continues to have a voice for you by voting for Sherrod Brown on or before Nov. 5.
