L. Elaine Hillier, age 88, of Fredericktown passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

She was born on August 12, 1936, in Mount Vernon to the late Noble and Florence (Hookway) Snow. Elaine was employed at Howard Jewell Real Estate. She was a clerk for several auctioneers over the years. Elaine was a member of the Wayne Grange and Wayne Grange Auxiliary, was a former member of the Golden Times Club, past State Grange Flora, and was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church (formerly the Fredericktown United Methodist Church). She enjoyed reading Amish books and cheering for her Cleveland Indians. Harry and Elaine Hillier were the Grand Marshals of the Tomato Show Parade in 2003 and supported the Tomato Show by purchasing a plate every year.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl White; her son-in-law Ed Moore; her grandchildren, Heather (Jordan) Miller, Matt (Jessica) Moore, Justin White, Logan White; her great grandchildren, Clara Miller, Tonya Miller, Meredith Moore, Beckett Moore, Huxley Moore; her sister Nora Mae Wilson; and her sister-in-law Rosie (Harold) Snively.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Harry Hillier; her daughter Terri Moore; her sisters Nettie Snow, Beulah McCormick, Marjorie Carlin; and her brothers, Harold Snow, Lamont Snow, Hubert Snow, Samuel Snow, Noble Snow Jr. and Roy Snow.

Friends may call on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Cornerstone Community Church (123 Columbus Rd. Fredericktown, Ohio 43019) from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, at the church, beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Jerry Ernst officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery.
