Wendy L. Reed, age 80, of Fredericktown, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024, at The Laurels of West Columbus.
She was born on May 8, 1944, in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Robert Wendell and Maxine (Mitchell) Irvine.
Mom loved life and always wanted to go and do everything. If there was a play to go to (as her friends have told me) she would just buy tickets and say you owe me $25 and I’ll pick you up at 6:00. Or even just want to take a walk around the neighborhood that she has lived in for 60 years. And what great neighbors she has!
She was always on the go from going to see those plays, going to see her grand kids and great grandson Kolby, golfing with Devin and Drey, going to our cousin’s kid’s ball games, out to lunch with the red hatters, going on adventures with the M & Mers, playing mahjong, bridge, and euchre too! She loved to travel to Naples, the Maumee River, Port Clinton/ Lake Erie Light House, Myrtle Beach, Maui, Texas, Palmetto Bluff, Kentucky/Cincinnati, Columbus and so many more places.
We all will all miss her very much.
Wendy is survived by her daughter Julie (Doug) Adams, grandsons Devin (Jen), and Drey, daughter Lisa and (Dave) Sarty, granddaughter Hannah and (husband) Zach and great grandson Kolby, and brother Dan Irvine and wife Nancy (deceased).
She was preceded in death by parents, Wendell and Maxine Irvine, and grandmother, Clara Mitchell.
Please come celebrate her life on Sunday, October 20th from 1:30 to 4:30 at Whaley Park, Henry’s Activity Center, 12 Mill Street, Fredericktown, Ohio.
Come and share your stories and adventures. I encourage anyone that would like to speak please do.
