HOWARD — Northmor quarterback A.J. Bower racked up four touchdown passes and the Knights’ undefeated football season stayed on track Friday night at East Knox High School.
The Golden Knights’ defense proved dominant too, in a 42-0 shutout of a Bulldogs’ squad that was unbeaten coming into the matchup.
Northmor’s victory keeps it atop the Knox Morrow Athletic Conference standings.

Northmor got all the points it needed in the first period when Bower fired a 55-yard touchdown pass to Jaxson Wenger, the first of three he caught on the evening.
The Knights put the game away in the second quarter.
Bower tossed a 41-yard TD pass to Cowin Becker to push the margin to 14-0. Becker’s 5-yard scoring run was the second rushing touchdown of the period and made it 28-0 at the half.
Midway through the third quarter, Bower rifled a 59-yard TD pass to Wenger for a 35-0 bulge.
The duo clicked for the final time on a 25-yard scoring pass late in the third period to finish it.
The Knights improved to 7-0 overall, 4-0 in the KMAC. They host Mount Gilead next week.
It was the first league loss for East Knox, which drops to 4-3, 3-1. The Bulldogs are at Fredericktown on Friday night.
Last season, Northmor and East Knox squared off on Sept. 29, 2023 at Northmor High School.
In recent action on Sept. 20, Northmor faced off against Danville and East Knox took on Cardington-Lincoln on Sept. 20 at Cardington High School.
