BUTLER — Shoppers, start your engines: The holidays are less than 100 days away.

If you like to start your gift-getting early, this weekend’s Prairie Peddler offers a great opportunity to find unique, handmade items.

The popular festival returns to the woods of Butler on Sept. 28 and Sept 29. and continues Oct. 5 and 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

As always, visitors will have plenty of opportunities to shop, eat and enjoy live music.

The festival will also feature nearly 30 food vendors selling comfort food, barbecue and burgers, Amish-style cooking, desserts and more.

Children’s activities will include sand art, soap making, candle making, a free petting zoo, pony rides and horse-drawn wagon rides. A kid zone will have face painting, arts and crafts and free magic shows.

Live performances include rock, country and bluegrass

This year’s festival will include live church services, music performances and children’s magic shows, spread out across four stages.
