Mary L. Stiffler, age 90, of Marengo, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Bennington Glenn Nursing Home. She was born on July 13, 1934, in Grundy, Virginia, the daughter of Louis and Carrie (Beaver) Altizer. Mary was a 1952 graduate of Highland High School and retired from Bennett Distribution. She also owned and operated a craft shop from her home for over 20 years, where she was an avid collector of dolls, figurines, and collectible motorcycles.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Ginger (David) Casner of Mount Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband James Stiffler who passed away on March 3, 2022, siblings, Louis Jr., Lucille, Warren, Rex, John “Jay”, Dewey, Norm, and Betty.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 26, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorial contributions in Mary’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
