Virginia Lee “Ginnie” Stauffer, age 87, of Howard passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at the Country Club Retirement Campus.

She was born on September 8, 1937, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert and Anna (Davis) Clark. She was a graduate of West High School in Columbus, Class of 1955. Ginnie was first employed at Columbia Gas and during that time met her future husband Robert Stauffer Sr. She went on to work at Ranco from the mid 1960’s until the mid 1980’s. She then got her Real Estate License and worked for Keith Oliver Realty. And finally Ginnie purchased the Croton Market, where she worked as the owner and serviced the local community for several years before retiring completely. Her greatest joy was cooking for and spending time with her loving family.

She is survived by her son Robert (Crystal) Stauffer; her stepson Kevin Stauffer; her granddaughter, Ericka (Zachary) Walls; her step-grandchildren, Courtney Jaynes, Cory Jaynes, and Chad (Jenny) Stauffer; her great-grandchildren, Marlee Walls, Sophia Stauffer, Jace Stauffer; her brother Richard Clark; her sister Marilyn (Jim) Cassady; her special cousin Sharon Stanley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Ginnie was preceded in death by her husband Robert Stauffer Sr.; her sons, Jeff, Marc, and Mike Sheskey; and her sister-in-law Kimberly Clark.

Friends may call on Wednesday September 18, 2024, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home from 5-7PM. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, at East View Cemetery in Centerburg, beginning at 11AM with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating.
