Carole Jarvis, 88, of Granville formerly of Mount Vernon passed away on Sunday afternoon, September 1, 2024 at Tuscany Gardens in Pataskala. She was born on September 16, 1935 in Marion to the late Robert and Helen (Shaffer) Bauman.
Carole retired from North American Rockwell Aviation. She was Catholic by faith. Carole was a horse lover and enjoyed going to Beulah Park and Scioto Downs to watch the horse races. She had an extensive butterfly collection and showed Dobermanns. Carole was known for her delicious homemade pies, especially her coconut cream.
Carole is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Michael) Stout of Granville; grandchildren, Rachel Stout, Ashley Jarvis Miller and Seanace Jarvis; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Preston, Camden and Kyla; several nieces and nephews; her dearest friend, Mrs. Nancy Coleman of Mount Vernon.
In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Jarvis; son, Steven Jarvis; grandson, Nathan Stout; and brothers, Bobby, Gary and Norman Bauman.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Dowds Chapel 201 Newark Rd., Mount Vernon. Carole will be laid to rest beside her husband, Larry in Rivercliff Union Cemetery, Mount Gilead.
