Harry W. Bennett IV, age 66, of Urbana, Ohio and formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 26, 2024, at his residence. He was born on June 24, 1958, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, the son of Harry W. and Elsie Julia (Mills) Bennett III. Harry was a 1976 graduate of the Knox County Joint Vocational School. Harry owned and operated HB Fire Design working on commercial properties.
Harry was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State University Buckeyes. He also enjoyed grilling out, watching television shows such as MASH and Star Trek and golfing with friends and family. Harry was a kindhearted man, who enjoyed nothing more than quality time spent with his family.
He is survived by his daughters, Molly Bennett of St. Paris and Kate Bennett of Urbana, a sister, Judy Bennett of Cleveland.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Susan J. (Smith) Bennett.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050.
