Donna Marie Turner (Morris), born on January 2, 1932, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024, in North Canton, Ohio. She was loved and known for her kindness and nurturing spirit.
Donna was a kindergarten teacher in Butler, Ohio. Her passion for teaching was evident in her imaginative and loving approach – like making bean bags shaped like frogs for all her students.
Beyond her professional life, Donna enjoyed crocheting, a hobby that not only brought her joy but also allowed her to create beautiful gifts for her loved ones and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and joining him on his frequent coffee breaks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Clyde Turner, and sons, Kimber Clyde Turner and Darcy Farrell Turner, and one granddaughter. Donna is survived by her son, Dudley Barlow Turner, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the loving aids who took care of her at Heritage Villas, North Canton, Ohio, and the employees of SouthernCare Hospice, Uniontown, Ohio, for their wonderful, caring help and support.
A memorial service is scheduled for August 24, 2024, 10 a.m. at First Nazarene Church, 807 Coshocton Ave., Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Donations can be sent to Kids In Need (https://www.kinf.org/) or support your local school supply drives.
