Denise S. Beveridge, age 70, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on April 30, 1954, in Camp Lejune, North Carolina. Denise retired in 2021 after twenty-plus years working at the Cracker Barrel in Mansfield.
Denise was a member of the Colonial City Moose Lodge where she enjoyed socializing and dancing with friends. She also loved to worship at church and took pride working in her flower beds, but most important, she loved the quality time she had with her kids and grandkids.
She is survived by her children, John (Beth) Singrey of Mount Vernon, Jennifer (William) Rodgers of Fredericktown, and Darcy (Rich) Merritt of Danville, step- children, Lonnie (Michele) Beveridge of Butler, Lisa Beveridge of Texas, and Rodney (Brenda) Beveridge of Texas, fourteen grandchildren, Ryan Singrey, Logan Singrey, Madeline Rodgers, Miles Rodgers, Alyssa Merritt, Brendon Merritt, Elliott Merritt, Shawn Beveridge, Justin Beveridge, Ashley Beveridge, Susie Belak, Becca Beveridge, Jacob Beveridge, Hannah Beveridge, five great grandchildren, Xavior, Legend, Ariya, Sadie, Bronsyn, three brothers, Ken (Vickie) Rice, Tim (Cindy) Rice and Tom (Diana) Rice, daughter-in-law, DeAnn (Mark) Smith, good friend, Carolyn Sapp and canine companion Ricki.
Denise was preceded in death by her husband Lynn Beveridge, and her parents, Robert Green and Winifred Green and her canine companion Lucy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Covenant Church, 13360 New Delaware Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 where friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. The family will be observing a private burial in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown. The family asks that visitors join us for dinner after the service and her children and grandchildren invite everyone to join, as we dance to mom’s memory at the Mount Vernon Music and Arts Festival.
Memorial contributions in Denise’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
