John David White (1956 – 2024)
John David White, beloved husband, father, and friend, peacefully passed away at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson, Louisiana on April 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever be cherished. Born on October 24th, 1956, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, to the late Doris (Osborne) White and Joseph White Sr., John was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him.
John was one of five siblings, including Joe (Lesley) White, Mary Gadd (Shelton, deceased), Paul (Ellen) White (deceased), and Lisa (Kent) Biegler with numerous nieces and nephews. He shared his life with his loving wife, Rosemary (Regynski) White, and together they raised a beautiful family of two boys, Lucas (Blair) White and Joseph White (35) as well as his two step sons, Shannon (Candice) Halverson and Josh Halverson.
John was a dedicated professional, earning the respect of his colleagues throughout his 30-year career at Cooper Energy Services and spent 7 additional years in hotel engineering until his retirement in 2022.
A man of boundless charisma and warmth, John had an extraordinary gift for bringing joy to everyone he encountered. His love for people was evident in the countless lives he touched with his kindness and humor.
John’s greatest joys in life were found in the embrace of his beloved wife, Rose, and in the company of his children and grandchildren, Skyler Bradford Lancaster-White, Cody, Chloe, Tyler, Owen Halverson and Madison Hoelzle. He cherished the simple moments spent together, creating cherished memories that will be forever treasured.
A passionate sports enthusiast, John’s heart belonged to his Ohio State Buckeyes and the New Orleans Saints. He found joy in cheering on his favorite teams and relished the excitement of NASCAR races.
While John may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His laughter, love, and infectious personality will be remembered fondly, serving as a source of comfort and inspiration for years to come.
John David White will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his legacy of love and laughter continues to shine brightly in our memories.
A celebration of life will be held in New Orleans, LA on Sunday, April 28th.
