MOUNT VERNON — There were 18 people who received sentences in March for felony convictions in Knox County.

Two people received sentences on March 7

  • Angie Looney, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to a two-year term of community control on an aggravated possession of drugs charge.
  • Raymond Beaver, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to serve a two-year term of community control on an aggravated possession of drugs charge.

Five people received sentences on March 14

  • Richard Poole was sentenced to an indefinite prison term of 10 years with a maximum of 15 years on an aggravated robbery charge. Poole was given 69 days credit served toward his sentence and also ordered to pay $1,472.15 in institutions to the First Federal Savings and Loan of Centerburg.
  • Justin Henderson, Mount Vernon, was sentenced to serve a two-year term of community control and serve 120 days in the county jail with credit for 58 days serve on one theft from a person in a protected class charge and one identity fraud against a person in a protected class charge.
  • Marisa Green, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, was sentenced to serve a one-year term of monitored time subject to the supervision of the adult court services and serve 180 days in the county jail with zero days serve on a grand theft of a motor vehicle charge.
  • Katie McCreary, of Columbus, was sentenced to serve a one-year term of community control and serve 180 days in the county jail with 25 days credited on one possession of cocaine charge and one illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia charge.
  • Melvin Fiske, Rock Hill, South Carolina, was sentenced to a 30-month definite prison term on one failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer charge. Fiske was given 447 days credit toward his sentence.

Seven people received sentences on March 21

  • Jeffrey Petrey, Newark, was sentenced to one year of community control and 120 days in the county jail with credit for 44 days served. Petrey was convicted on a driving under suspension charge and aggravated possession of drugs.
  • Shane Fitzpatrick, Columbus, was sentenced to one year of community control and serve 11 days in the county jail with 11 days served. Fitzpatrick was sentenced on a driving while intoxicated charge, possession of cocaine and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.
  • Johney Payne, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to one year of community control. Payne was convicted on possession of a fentanyl-related compound and possessing drug abuse instruments.
  • Anthony Cline, of Howard, was sentenced to a definite 30-month prison term. Cline was given credit for one day served. Cline was also determined to be a tier two sex offender/child-victim offender registrant. Cline was convicted on a gross sexual imposition charge.
  • Robert Balcom, of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to a definite 17-month prison term. Balcom was given credit for 134 days served toward his sentence. Balcom was convicted on one menacing by stalking charge.
  • Robert Humphrey, Mount Vernon, was sentenced to a definite 18-month prison sentence and was credited 100 days served. Humphrey was convicted on a domestic violence charge.
  • Lincoln Fraser, Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control. Fraser was convicted of a failure to provide change of address charge.

Four people received sentences on March 28

  • Heather Swartz, Columbus, was sentenced to two years of community control and was credited for one day served in the county jail. Swartz was convicted of aggravated possession of drugs.
  • Joseph Fulton, Mount Vernon, was sentenced to a definite 30-month prison term and was credited for 183 days served. Fulton was ordered to forfeit an SKS 7.62 rifle with a bayonet to the Mount Vernon Police Department. Fulton was convicted of having weapons while under disability and a forfeiture specification.
  • Sierra Colucci, Howard, was sentenced to two years of community control. Colucci was convicted of aggravated possession of drugs and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Daniel Goudy, Mount Vernon, was sentenced to two years of community control and was credited for 27 days served in the county jail. Goudy was convicted of aggravated possession of drugs.
