Anne W. Fosnaught, age 84, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Knox Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 8, 1939, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of William and Margaret Jayne (Chambers) Winslow.

Anne earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Miami University in Oxford. She went on to teach in the Mount Vernon school system for over 17 years. She also worked for many years at JR Michaels Clothing Store in Mount Vernon.

Anne was a faithful member of the Gay Street United Methodist Church, Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Four Seasons Garden Club, Sunset Club and Mount Vernon Country Club. She was also an active volunteer for the Book Review Club, the former Jaycees and the Ohio Junior Miss program held in Mount Vernon for many years.
She is survived by her children, Kristine (Steve) Tier of Mount Vernon, Michael (Cathy) Fosnaught of Bexley, five grandchildren, Samuel (Alycia) Fosnaught, Jacob (Sarah) Fosnaught, Amanda Tier, Nicholas Tier and Megan Tier, a great granddaughter, Hope Fosnaught, a brother, Joseph (Denise) Winslow of Thornton, Colorado, a sister, Susan (Scott) Putnam of Matthews, North Carolina and a sisters-in-law, Karen King and Barbara Winslow.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Fosnaught two brothers, William Winslow and Dr. Robert Winslow and a sister-in-law, Beverly Winslow.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 beginning at 2 p.m. at the Gay Street United Methodist Church, 18 N. Gay Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Anne W. Fosnaught.
