What to do in Knox County?
While you’re waiting for the solar eclipse or want to see some sites after the big event has ended, there are numerous sites to see, trails to venture and rivers to paddle through in Knox County.
Knox County Parks District offers nine parks along with several trails for visitors to get a break with nature. Such trails like the Kokosing Gap Trail and Ohio to Erie Trail are great options.
For parks, it’s easy to spend a couple of hours at Ariel Foundation Park and Wolf Run Regional Park — both close to Mount Vernon.
If you want to be closer to Kenyon College, visit Brown Family Environmental Center to see a wide array of vegetation, plants and flowers. It’ll be beautiful during the total solar eclipse.
