Thomas A. Higgins, age 84, of Mount Vernon passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at his home.
He was born on October 4, 1939, in Diamond Springs, Michigan to the late Aubrey and Mary Faye (Trowbridge) Higgins. Thomas was a lifelong farmer and also retired from Timken Steel Corp. with 30 years of service. Thomas enjoyed being a member of the Model A Club and had many good friends. But most of all, he loved the time he spent with his grandsons.
He is survived by his wife Judith (Cordle) Higgins; his daughter Teresa Ashton; his two grandsons, Wesley (Patty) Baas, Skyler Baas; and his canine companion Beanie.
Friends may call on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 5pm – 6pm at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held, at the funeral home, on Wednesday beginning at 11am with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow in Lock Cemetery.
